Essence Glitter Review By Alisha

Recently I received three pots of cosmetic glitter from a company called Essence Glitter. The glitters from EG have many different uses, they an be used on nails (polish and gel), as a glitter shadow, on lips something very popular at the moment and as body glitter or tattoos.

There's many different shades of the glitters. Some are one colour, other are a mixture of two or more colours and all are truly beautiful. They're quite fine glitters with I find gives a much nicer layer that's even rather than more typical glitter polishes that have large sequins.
I got three of these glitters in different colours which were Golden Rose (a rose gold perfect for Autumn), Frosted Berry (a mixed colour of red glitter with a hint of silver) and Glinting Star (a multicoloured silver). These are very generous sizes, a 7g pot for ONLY £3.30! They will last a good while and for the price it's super cheap for these good quality glitters. The Golden rose shade is a bit more pink than what it is here in the picture.

When using the glitters on myself I tried them on my nails and as body glitter/shadow applying to my arm as a swatch how it would be done for eyes. The glitters can be used for gel nail polish or regular, I used regular polish applying two coats and when the second was tacky I dabbed it on and used a top coat. Doing one nail as an accent nail I used the same way but used one layer of a top coat and dabbed on all over as much as it would apply, let that dry and then go over with another layer using the same technique and then sealing with a gel effect top coat just for a nice Glossy look to compliment the glitter. This way worked perfectly well and looked much more pretty that I expected it to they really shine beautifully. I used a burgundy red with the frosted Berry glitter and it is very festive looking but also something I'd wear all year round. You can also mix it straight in the polish also but I think this would be more time consuming mixing it and would likely dry before you get it on! When using as shadow you can apply it one of a few ways. You can use a primer and apply with a brush/finger as you usually would although one that is super strong (I used my Too faced glitter glue primer- specifically for glitter shadows to stop fall out), apply a eyelash adhesive or other type of body adhesive or apply a cream shadow and apply on top or mixed in the shadow. I tried all three and found the primer worked just as good as the eyelash glue and once dry neither budged at all and took some good rubbing to get off! The cream shadow didn't work so well but I only have one cream shadow so don't have much others to compare but with a few application methods there's one to suit everyone!
Overall I'm really happy with these glitters, I'll be buying more colours very soon! Essence Glitters has a Facebook page where there are a few videos showing some glitters, the website is http://www.essenceglitter.com/
for anyone wanting to take a look or buy, I definitely recommend you all do! Alisha

MeeBox Review by Alisha

Last week I received the November edition of Meebox. This box is a subscription box specifically for nail products. Each month you receive 5 products, 3 of which are polishes and the others are usually nail art. The box has a theme each month which the box products are based around, this month is the theme Glitter! This one is a really great box for nail lovers with many possible nail designs to be created from the products received. It's £20 a month which is inclusive of postage, they're sent out the last week of the month by Royal Mail.

It came very quickly and is tracked so you know when to expect it. It comes in a cardboard box with a black and white striped design with the Meebox name across, so I knew what it was when it arrived and was very excited to get it open! When I opened it there was a whole box full of shredded tissue paper and the products were mixed in which was fun to feel around for each product, plus having nail polishes in which are glass I was glad to see there was suitable packaging and it did all arrive intact. Inside I received:
Little Ondine glitter polish in shade L803, this polish is a natural brand. As on the bottle 'Natural nail colour, composed of water, purified resin and colourant' This is great because there's many that like to use only natural products so it's great to find one that is suitable for that. It's a beautiful polish of Red, purple and gold glitter of small and larger sizes so you get a lovely mixed surface. Plus an added bonus this polish is peel off! Great for anyone that wants to wear polish but may need it off for work, or for children/teens that need it off for school. I've used 2 coats in the swatch stick below, dabbing on rather than the usual brushing as suggested. The mixture of sizes of glitter gives a more sheer build up that's enough that you could wear it as it is or over another colour, you could also go another layer for a more intense look or use a red underneath. RRP £11
A England in Crown of Thistles, this is a gorgeous warm purple shade with a lovely shimmer effect that is silver in colour and really sparkles beautifully. This one is very pigmented and a great consistency you could get away with one coat of colour if you were in a rush! RRP £11
Floss Gloss Nail lacquer in Dimepiece, this is another glitter polish which is a lovely bright silver that shines all different colours and really catches the light! The bottle on this is really pretty too and looks very luxurious. Two coats of this gives a perfect build up of glitter.
MeeBox Holo paper, this is a lovely hologram effect foil nail paper that is a teal kind of colour with a mirrored look. This is a simple addition that you just apply to slightly wet polish and then seal with a top coat.
Naio nails glitter pot, again this is a teal kind of colour of and this is more of a very fine shredded paper texture then a glitter and gives a delicate foil confetti look which is really pretty and different to the standard types which is nice to have. RRP £1.10. You also get 3 swatch sticks to paint and add to your collection which is really handy for matching polish to your outfit!

Overall I'm really happy with this box, I think all the products are really good quality and a good variety of nail items. This would be a fantastic box for nail lovers with many different designs possible, high quality and with a great theme in mind you've got the inspiration and all the tools you need to make some great manicures! So a box with a twist for review this evening for you all. This time I am reviewing a box from Countdown and Celebrate. This box would be brought for someone as a gift to help countdown a celebration which they cater for new baby, wedding, and for a limited time countdown to Christmas.

There is 2 types of boxes you can purchase one being a countdown box where you unwrap a present each day in the run up to your celebration or a celebration box which is full of goodies to suit the occasion.

I have been sent the 5 day countdown to a new baby boy box, the box is a lovely quality, upon opening using the magnetic lid you are presented with 5 individually wrapped presents showing which one you are to unwrap on each day. This box is priced at £20 and also comes in a 10 countdown option at £30.

So with 5 days to go the 1st present was a beautifully animal designed vest, very good quality and very appealing to the eye and would suit most peoples tastes.

4 days to go next up was cute soft toy from the Elli and Raff range, this is suitable from birth and is adorable.

3 days to go we have a hanging wooden heart with a very lovely message of " Read me a story, tuck me in tight, tell me you love me and kiss me goodnight" this would be a fab addition to any baby's nursery.

2 days to go I was presented with a pair of fluffy striped blue socks, these are the most softest things I have ever touched and will keep them cute little toes very warm.

And finally with 1 day to go I unwrapped a white pair of baby booties with a rabbit face embroidered on to them, again very tasteful and would suit most.

Every item in this box is of fantastic quality and anyone would be over the moon to receive this present, this would make a lovely baby shower present and makes the art of gift gifting very fun.

CC Beauty Subscription Box Review by Alisha Emmaleene

So last Monday I received the November CC Beauty box. CC Beauty box costs £29.99, free postage with this box and has a value of around £100 or more. All items are full size and are more higher end brands, you get between 4-5 depending on what the items are. Previous boxes have seen brands such as Too Faced, Chanel, Nars, Benefit and more high end and more luxurious brands at a much discounted price.

When receiving the parcel, inside the cardboard outer packaging was a jet black sleek looking box with a lifting lid. On the front was a CC Beauty card, and a sticker closing the lid flap at the bottom. I really liked that the lid opened rather than lifted as it felt much more like a present!

In this months CC Beauty box there was:
Too Faced Selfie powder palette £32

IMAN Cote D'Azur Collection palette £22.90

Elizabeth Arden blender sponge brush £12
Nars liner/brow brush (Can't find a price, looks like old packaging but current ones retail around £24/£25)

I was really happy to have the Too Faced palette as it was something I'd been wanting to try, and having not tried anything yet from IMAN I was excited for this too. It was great that we had two palettes as it meant there was really a whole face worth of products to try, your base in one and eyes, cheeks and lips in the other plus your tools.

The Too Faced palette is named No Filter selfie powders. There's a pale yellow powder to give warmth and reduce redness, a cool brown for bronzing and a pale yellow for a subtle highlight or 'Etheral' effect. They're all lightly shimmery, with the highlighter of course more intense shimmer. They're all also fairly subtle and quite sheer so depending on the effect you want you can build up layers. Being shimmery when using them all you have an all over shimmer which isn't for everyone, but you can use them all over or just where needed for a more natural glow. You can see from the first picture below I've got quite red cheeks, the left side I've used the powders and the other side I haven't so you can definitely notice the difference. The next picture shows all three powders being used on myself.

In the IMAN palette we have 2 lipsticks, 2 lipgloss, 4 eyeshadows, a blusher and cream bronzer. The lipsticks are quite sheer so give the same effect as the lipgloss but a slightly different texture, however they can be layered for fuller colour. The blusher is a mixture of colours which gives a nice pink glow with a hint of warmth. The cream bronzer is super soft and blends out really well, both the bronzer and blusher are slightly shimmery. The shadows are shades of blue/purples with are lovely and soft, again shimmery. This palette is described to be for 'African American, Asian, Latina and multi-cultural' women so therefore the shades may not suit some skin tones, personally some are not my colours but I think the bronzer is the only one I wouldn't eat because of my skin tone. However I think they're all good quality and there are mini brushes to be used for all so it would be great for travelling. Photos show the red lipstick, purple gloss and the second shows brown lipstick on the bottom and gold glitter gloss on the top. Eyeshadows swatched on my hand in the order of the palette.

I have the Elizabeth Arden brush already myself, it has a lovely clear handle with a gold top with the logo and a fairly firm sponge. I like this brush for applying foundation as being quite firm it applies well without soaking up lots of the product. I find it doesn't blend as well as softer sponges so I tend to use another blender sponge to blend everything out. With it having a handle I think it's particularly good for those that apply make up while travelling as it reduces the mess!

This Nars brush could be used for liner or applying brow products with its angled slim shape. Like other Nars products the handle of the brush has a lovely smooth finish that makes grasping it easier, it feels like a non slip type of surface. The bristles are quite firm so are good for precise application.

Overall I think this box is amazing value and a really great one to have. Having looked at other boxes from previous months it looks like the standard is pretty good all round with some really great products and brands featured. The CC Beauty box is still currently available to buy for the next 4 days so be quick. My discount code with give 10% off but it limited to the first 30 subscribers!

Prima MakeUp Pressed Glitter Eyeshadows Review and Video

Presenting these gorgeous pressed glitter eyeshadows from www.primamakeup.com I have been given 4 different shades to review

Airels Night Out
Drama At The Disco
Grey Skies
Hot Shot Pink

The come delivered in sealed plastic cases, which you can use to store you eyeshadows or you can move them to a empty palette that fits 26mm/31mm pans.

For applying these eyeshadows there is no need for any type of primer or glitter fixing gel, these can be applied straight away either on their own or with an eyeshadow as a base to create which ever look you going for, you can even use more than one glitter to get a different effect. Prima have advised the best way to apply is using your fingertips but you can use a brush if you wish. You don't need to use a lot of the product at all and you need to apply using a bit at a time, which you will see in my video.

This alone makes this product stand out as you can use as is and saves so much time and also makes it very affordable to have the sparkle you require. Also its not just eyes you can use this glitter on you can also apply to your lips for that added bit of sparkle.

With Christmas parties up and coming these will be a lovely added bonus to your make up bag and will set off any look that you are going for.

It comes off very easy, but please do make sure that you remove fully, and that you always carry out a patch test prior to using this product. Each eyeshadow has Aloe Vera which will also sooth your skin while wearing.

I have included photos below of swatch tests I carried out and I will at a later date upload a photo of myself using on my eyes.

They are priced at £3.50 each, or you can buy sets of 4 for £12, 6 for £18, or a set of 10 for £30 which also includes a free empty palette, there is 12 shades to choose from on the website.

Please check them out on Facebook I will include all link below

The Little Handbag Hero Review

I have been so excited to review this fantastic product from The Little Handbag Hero company. I came across the business on Facebook and straight away was in awe of the idea and concept behind the product. Also the lady behind this fantastic idea is called Natalie and she is so helpful and friendly.

So the concept behind the product is miniature size tins that can fit any type and any size handbag, each tin is full of items that will have a everyday use and also come to the rescue for life's little emergencies that might ruin your day. I can think of some many times when I could of done with one of these tins when things have happened to me at work, being out and about or even when I have gone out last minute straight from the office and needed a freshen up.

There are different variations that the product comes in to suit every need. There is classic, deluxe and night out. I have been given a sample of the deluxe tin to show you all. The prices range from £9.99 to £13.99. It would cost a lot more to put all of these items together by yourself.

In the deluxe tin the contents are as follows

Tweezers                                        Safety Pins
Hand Sanitizing Wipe                    Plasters
Mini Emery Board                         Oil Blotting Sheets
Shout Stain Remover Wipe           Chewable Toothbrush
Sewing Kit                                     Toothpick
Blister Pads for Heels                    Mini Tampon
Double Sided Fashion Tape           Hair Bobble
Gel Foot Cushions                         Hair Grips
Deodorant Wipe                            Q Tips
Earring Backs                                Mint

Little Handbag Hero would make a fantastic addition to any woman's handbag, It really is the gift for the lady that has everything as every woman has a handbag. I know that I will now carry this with me everywhere I go and I will enjoy showing it to my friends and family, and be so thankful for when I do have a little emergency that this fantastic piece of kit will get me out of trouble.

I have included photos below and will also be following up with a video to show you how incredible this product really is.
