Just Us Box January Review By Alisha

The box I have received this time is the Just Us box for January. The concept behind this box is as you can tell from the name is a couples subscription box. They are usually sent mid way through the month and the deadline to purchase a monthly box is the 15th of that month. They are £30 per month plus there is also the option of a smaller trial box for £18 which is perfect if you have a smaller budget or for you to see what you think of it and what the company have to offer. You can also buy bigger subscription plans which have a bit of a discount and also there is an option to buy as a gift.

There is a theme for each monthly box which relates to the items and the activity inside. The theme for the January box was Making memories and it was a collaboration with Red Letter days. In the boxes you'll find there is some kind of activity, with some questions or topic for you and your partner to discuss while doing it.
The items in the box are: 
Stack 'Em block game with question labels (pink for her to answer, blue for him to answer and orange for both) some of the questions included What was your first impression of me when we met?
What was your favourite past time/hobby as a child?
What do you remember most about the first time we met?
Sass and Belle vintage style photo album box.
Small trinket box for you to collect keepsakes, little things as memories tickets, photos etc.
Glass jar with lollipop sticks and a marker pen. You write on the sticks some dreams for long term and short term, and the idea is that you choose one of the short term each week etc to complete.
A Bluetooth wireless selfie stick (Comes with a remote to take the photos with).
A small hanging glass photo frame.
Two strings of wishes.

There is so much in this box and it is jam packed, there's lots for a great and fun night in that's not boring! The quality of the things is great too it's not cheap, it's really worth the money and for those that can't get out much- it's a fun night out but inside where you can rest in your PJs! The ideas and theme behind it all are lovely and fun. This is a great one to try as a regular for your date night or for a treat here and there or an occasion. It's something that isn't going to get boring because it's different each time and there is always several different things you can do.

There have been some other Couples boxes that have been quite disastrous and lacking, this however is up there with great quality and the effort really is put into this to give you everything you could want for your date night and it's really thought about for each box. All should give this box a go, whether you can't get out or you'd like to try a stay in date. Each box is bespoke skincare which is personalised for your skin and this box is everything you need for an at home facial experience. Each box includes two products tailored to your skin type and a selection of the following:

• Face Mask
• Face Scrub
• Facial oil or Facial Steaming Herbs
• A Headband
• A Muslin Cloth
• A Wooden Scoop

Firstly, I was really excited to try the Herbal Steamer as this is something totally new to myself and I have never done this before. When doing the steamer, I felt relaxed and very peaceful the lovely smell of lavender and jasmine was very calming and omg I must say I have totally been missing out on such a great relaxing experience and will defiantly 100% be making steaming part of my skin routine as I found my skin was left feeling soft, silky and cleansed.

Both the Clarifying Skin Scrub and the Detox Clay Mask are fabulous products with great results. My skin felt cleansed, fresh and incredibly soft. It was great feeling pampered and so relaxed in the comfort of my own home and also having some quality “Me Time”.

Each facial box comes with a card which contains a full list of which items you have received and details every ingredient that has been used to make these amazing products.

A Box of happiness will change on a monthly basis, they are made with love and care and are designed as a journey to confidence and self-love. Why not get everything you will need for that special “Me Time” sent right to your door and have your very own facial experience.

Dinki Belle Nail Wraps Review

I was recently sent a mini gift set by a fab company called Dinki Belle. They specialise in providing women with instant manicures that they can do themselves at home with ease and no mess and better yet no nail damage. Dinki Belle has also been featured in Glamour and Cosmopolitan magazines.

So in my gift set as you can see by my pictures below was a set of 20 nail wraps in the Princess Sparkle design which is one of 20 to choose from. These were presented in beautiful gift bag along with a mini nail file, cuticle stick, rubber cuticle pusher and full instructions on how to apply the nail wraps.

Now this set is perfect for me as I'm not very good as painting my own nails and due to the nature of my work it would be a waste of money for me to have them painted professionally. Would I loved loved loved was there is no need to wait for them to dry and there is zero mess and they are so easy to use.

To apply the nail wraps, you first need to rub your nails with mail varnish remover to remove any oils on your nails give them a quick buff and ensure they are nice and clean. Next make sure you select the correct size wrap for your desired nail remove the clear cover, using the silver tab use this to life the wrap, apply the wrap to your nail but make sure you smooth it over so there is no wrinkles, make sure it is wrapped round the entire nail then with the mini nail file provided file down the excess. If you want you can add a top coat. I haven't done this at the present time. When you come to the stage you wish to remove the wrap you can do so with nail varnish remover or gently peel away.

I would say this whole process took me around 10 minutes to complete for both my hands, for a busy mum on the go this is perfect, nice quick and easy. My nails have had a makeover and even a lady at the supermarket commented on how pretty they was and where did I get them from.

Overall I am very very impressed with the quality of the product, if you wanted to buy one of these mini gift sets they are priced at a affordable £7.99 or if you preferred to just buy the nail wraps they are priced at £6.99. They would make a fab gift for birthdays, mothers day, Christmas or just to put a smile on someones face.

Pretty Little Mushroom Review By Alisha

I have recently received a few accessory items from Pretty Little Mushroom. The lady behind the gorgeously cute accessories is Dawn, she makes handmade felt and crocheted items for Children and babies. Most of her items are for girls but she does also accept custom order for adults that want to match or have some for themselves and can make boys items aswell so if you'd like something you can't see pop her a message to discuss!

I received a baby crochet collar in the colour Antique Rose, a gorgeous dusky pink with a little Pom Pom fastening. One children's Pom Pom and felt bracelet and one Ditzy clip. All the items made have a lovely original vintage design which is oh so cute! The items are of great high quality and super soft material so perfect for the little ones with their sensitive skin.

The collars come in a variety of colours and there are also different variations of the design including a gem fastening, alternative shape, Pearl embellishments and floral additions. The baby ones are for 6-12months approximately but can be requested for a different size or an adjustable one, they also come in children sizes aswell as being made for an adult as already mentioned if you wanted a custom piece.

The bracelet is made of Pom poms with felt and has elastic so it's easily put on and off, isn't going to dig in so is perfect for a little girl. The colour combination of this one is lovely very soft and gentle but could be made in other colours to match an outfit or for a favourite colour.

The Ditzy clips are made with a little metal attachment that can be clipped onto shoes or used to customise clothing, other accessories. They come in these lovely Cherry design plus other designs such as bunnies, birds and flowers.

The other types of items you can get are headbands, hair slides and booties. There are other items not shown that have been made such as a dummy clip and hand warmers also. Recently I was kindly sent a sample of a subscription box called Scent From. It is a premium candle box that is set round a monthly theme of different places in the world which is aimed to take you round the world.

I was sent the January Scent from The Alps box, the contents of the box included

A large natural wax candle in a Spice scent, this has a 40 hour burn time and will resemble being tucked up in a log cabin while filling the air with warmth and a beautiful soft spice smell.The candle is from their own Scent From brand.
Next up is a luxury 250ml hand and body lotion which is in a spice scent again, the brand of the hand and body lotion is Shearer Candles, this was added to bring the element of unwinding after a day on the slopes in the alps.
There was another candle in the box this one is a tin candle again from Shearer this is a Cinnamon scent, great scent as you could imagine it being used in hot drinks around the fire.
Lastly is a set of white cotton strong lights from Kikkerland, they come a generous 6ft cord and will look like little bits of snow if you hang them round a window.

All of the products in this box are of fantastic quality and when used all together you 100% will get the feel that you have been on the ski slopes all day and come back to your cabin in the Alps to warm back up,

Wicked Earth Wax Melt Review

I was recently sent a couple of wax melts from a brand new company called Wicked Earth, they are a family run business based in Melton Mowbray that started up in 2016. They had a passion for candles and wax melts and decided that they was going to make 100% natural soy wax melts for everyone to enjoy.

I was sent to wax melts to try one Rhubarb and Custard and the other Sticky Toffee, they are presented beautifully in lovely easy to store pots that can easily be stacked upon one another so you can have a fantastic collection. Each one is a 20g wax melt and burning time is around 8 to 10 hours, there are 6 different scents to choose from

Bubblegum
Candy Floss
Pear Drops
Rhubarb and Custard
Sticky Toffee
Strawberries and Cream

Two new scents are being revealed shortly as well.

Since receiving these wax melts I have been burning my Rhubarb and Custard one on and off all over the weekend and the scent does not decrease with every use, it has made my whole house smell amazing the throw on them is very very good. The Rhubarb and Custard smells just like the sweets from my childhood and has made me smile this weekend.

Artemis & Xena January Subscription Box Review

I was lucky enough to be sent the 1st ever box from the new subscription service called Artemis &~ Xena, this bx is based around well being and empowering young women.

The box is mainly aimed at teenage girls and young women, but I think it would be perfect for women who suffer from anxiety, depression and so on to help think more positively.

I received in my box a fantastic range of items that included 

A natural deodorant from Earth Conscious in a Lavender scent, this is 100% natural, is applied differently than your normal deodorant its not a spray or a roll on, its made in a wax type product and you apply too yourself using your fingertips. 

Pro Intense Lip Lacquer by Collection, beautiful pink colour that will suit most.

All over colour stick from E.L.F, again in a shade that will suit a lot of people and very easy to use, as can be used on lips, cheeks and eyes.

Next up which I think is the best product in the box is a calming origami colouring book, this is fantastic to de stress and relax, if your like me you will find colouring in very very chilled and enjoyable, then once you have completed your new creation look at the back of the book and you will find instructions on how to turn your new piece of art into a crab or bird and so on.

In the box was also a DIY dream catcher kit, something very fun to do to create your very own dream catcher, once done you can hang it above your bed and go to sleep of a night time knowing that any bad dreams will be captured in your new creation and you will enjoy a much better nights sleep.

There is also a night time tea to try that is set out to relax you before you drift off to sleep perfect if you ever struggle.

There was also a piece of jewellery in the box, I got a beautiful silver necklace with an owl pendant and this was presented on a card with a quote from Walt Disney.

On top of all this you also get an extra present for yourself, mine was a travel sized Aloe Vera shower gel.

Amongst all these goodies, there is also a book mark for your night time reading, a booklet to help you plan your goals for 2017, a mindfulness practice card which guides you to practice making your awareness rest in the present and a motivational quote for you to put up where you choose, great for students for when they are studying to keep going.

The price of this box is £12 a month, there is a 3 month plan available as well and this would bring the cost of the box down to £10 month, but if you didn't want to commit to a subscription box then you can purchase the boxes as a one of for £15.

I would recommend that this is defiantly aimed at the younger girl so if you wanted to treat your daughter, granddaughter or niece then treat them to this to help them relax and unwind from the stresses of being a young girl now days.
