Essence Glitter Review By Alisha

Recently I received three pots of cosmetic glitter from a company called Essence Glitter. The glitters from EG have many different uses, they an be used on nails (polish and gel), as a glitter shadow, on lips something very popular at the moment and as body glitter or tattoos.

There's many different shades of the glitters. Some are one colour, other are a mixture of two or more colours and all are truly beautiful. They're quite fine glitters with I find gives a much nicer layer that's even rather than more typical glitter polishes that have large sequins.
I got three of these glitters in different colours which were Golden Rose (a rose gold perfect for Autumn), Frosted Berry (a mixed colour of red glitter with a hint of silver) and Glinting Star (a multicoloured silver). These are very generous sizes, a 7g pot for ONLY £3.30! They will last a good while and for the price it's super cheap for these good quality glitters. The Golden rose shade is a bit more pink than what it is here in the picture.

When using the glitters on myself I tried them on my nails and as body glitter/shadow applying to my arm as a swatch how it would be done for eyes. The glitters can be used for gel nail polish or regular, I used regular polish applying two coats and when the second was tacky I dabbed it on and used a top coat. Doing one nail as an accent nail I used the same way but used one layer of a top coat and dabbed on all over as much as it would apply, let that dry and then go over with another layer using the same technique and then sealing with a gel effect top coat just for a nice Glossy look to compliment the glitter. This way worked perfectly well and looked much more pretty that I expected it to they really shine beautifully. I used a burgundy red with the frosted Berry glitter and it is very festive looking but also something I'd wear all year round. You can also mix it straight in the polish also but I think this would be more time consuming mixing it and would likely dry before you get it on! When using as shadow you can apply it one of a few ways. You can use a primer and apply with a brush/finger as you usually would although one that is super strong (I used my Too faced glitter glue primer- specifically for glitter shadows to stop fall out), apply a eyelash adhesive or other type of body adhesive or apply a cream shadow and apply on top or mixed in the shadow. I tried all three and found the primer worked just as good as the eyelash glue and once dry neither budged at all and took some good rubbing to get off! The cream shadow didn't work so well but I only have one cream shadow so don't have much others to compare but with a few application methods there's one to suit everyone!
Overall I'm really happy with these glitters, I'll be buying more colours very soon! Essence Glitters has a Facebook page where there are a few videos showing some glitters, the website is http://www.essenceglitter.com/
for anyone wanting to take a look or buy, I definitely recommend you all do! Alisha
